42 years ago, in 2012, Earth officially lost contact with Voyager 1 as it crossed the heliopause—the theoretical boundary between the heliosphere and interstellar space. The Deep Space Network (DSN) logged its final transmission: at exactly 03:17:42 UTC on August 25, the probe’s faint 160-bit-per-second signal fell silent.
Voyager 1 was declared lost. Maybe it struck unseen debris. Maybe something at the edge of interstellar space interfered in ways we didn’t yet understand. Theories followed, of course—some grounded, some not. NASA sent probe after probe to search the site in which voyager vanished, though no debree or signal would ever be found. Eventually... The mission faded into history, yet another failure humanity may never understand in full.
Until the year 2040.
A blip. Barely distinguishable from background noise, but familiar. It was... a signal. Voyager 1 was alive. somehow still positioned just beyond the heliopause, exactly where it had lost signal decades ago. In the decades since Voyager’s launch, humanity had rewritten its technological limits entirely. Advances in propulsion, shielding, and long-duration life support made what was once impossible merely difficult- our unmanned instruments had crossed into interstellar space and back many times by now- many searching for Voyager.
So... NASA didn’t hesitate.
Rather than sending our another probe, Within twelve years, they built a vessel capable of following Voyager’s signal, the first crewed mission into interstellar space.
They named it FARREACH.
Welcome aboard humanity’s most ambitious project yet.
You have a long road ahead, traveler.

Hello all! This campaign has been a passion project of mine for about a year, and I beleive i am finally ready to assemble a group to play.
This campaign would run on a system developed by myself, Scheduling has not yet been discussed, but it can be discussed by the group alltogether once we have gathered everybody. Days that work best for ne are Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 AM to 10 PM PST. But thats not to say we can't pick another day.
If you are interested in participating, I request you answer the following questions and submit them into my DMs. I will try my best to get back to everybody!
