How to know what's quality & what isn't. UK
My Mum passed away 30 years ago and left my brother and I her jewelry collection. He doesn't have kids and mine are 21(m) & 16(f) so have no sentimental attachment to it at all.
I've come to the decision it's probably best to sell the majority of it. It's mainly rings and I can't wear them as they are far too small for my sausage fingers.
Most of them have stones in but I don't know how to identify what are real and what aren't. I know there's some garnets as that was her birthstone. How do I identify real jewels from paste/costume jewelry? I don't want to just sell for gold value.
Any help would be appreciated.
