Lesbian/gay bar in Barcelona

Are there any good lesbian/gay bars in Barcelona? Not just queer friendly, but filled with mostly queer people? And how is the English amongst the locals? I went to Sevilla a couple of years ago and was pleasantly surprised by how well most of the locals spoke English, unfortunately it meant I was unable to practice my Spanish 😄 Will I need to learn Catalonian, or will my broken Spanish suffice?

Which district should I stay in?

I’m going to Barcelona for a week this fall, I’m a woman traveling alone. Which district should I stay in? I know it’s a big city, but I would prefer to have most within walking distance (I’m European and don’t mind walking). I don’t need the beach to be close by. I might want to go to Camp Nou and catch a game if Barcelona had a home game during the week I’m there. My priorities for the trips is just to soak in the architecture and eat good local food, don’t care about shopping. Grateful for any tips and suggestions 🙏🏻😊
