Working class musicians are disappearing from mainstream music. Could a working class band like Nirvana make it big today?

Other than some artists like Bad Bunny and The Weeknd does it seem to anyone that most mainstream artists today have parents that are rich or connected to the music industry. There have been several recent articles about the "class ceiling" and how it's one of the biggest barriers for young people trying to earn money in the music industry particularly if they do not come from wealth.

Could a band like Nirvana even make it today?
