I’m looking for a versatile camera for my upcoming trips with my girlfriend. We are traveling to Zanzibar soon, so it needs to handle underwater filming (snorkeling).
However, we want an all-rounder that is just as practical for future trips to historic cities and capturing sunsets, rather than just a dedicated "adventure" camera. We are looking for something reliable that we can keep using for years to come.
Since we travel once or twice a year, we want to be mindful of the investment, but we are willing to pay for quality if it makes a difference. Based on my research, I’m considering:
DJI Osmo Action 4
DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro
Insta360 Ace Pro 2
The Action 4 is currently about €100 cheaper than the other two. Does the improved performance of the newer Pro models (especially for low light and city landscapes) justify the extra cost?
Also, we are open to other suggestions if there is a better fit for this mix of snorkeling and urban travel.
