Did I hallucinate this?
I have this memory that I wanted to confirm truly happened, and isn’t just some half-baked daydream.
I know this is probably a little low stakes for this subreddit given the top story was about 12 missing kids, but any assistance would be really appreciated.
When I was extremely young, talking early to mid 1990’s, I vaguely remember my Elementary school in St. George, Utah had a surprise assembly in which Robbin Williams appeared. I have this vivid memory of him inviting a bunch of us up on stage, and assigned us all roles to act out. I was chosen, and he told me to act absolutely drunk out of my mind. I stumbled around on stage making a complete a$$ out of myself, but he loved it. When he was able to stop laughing he told me I had what it took to go far if I wanted to start acting.
So of course I followed his advice, and became an accountant...
I tried everything, but the school is closed down now, and even if it wasn’t, not many records are kept from that time. I tried the local newspapers, but found nothing. I heard it wasn’t uncommon for him to do surprise visits to schools and hospitals, and even found word of him being in Utah a few times, so there’s a chance I’m not crazy.
I thought to give up, but a friend told me Reddit has some great “internet detectives”, non-derogatory.
So… Did this actually happen, or am I insane?
