AITA for yelling at my roommate?

I live in a small place for student housing while attending university. I’m watching a movie on the couch, and one of my roommates was washing his dishes in the bathroom because the kitchen is in a separate part of the house and he didn’t want to go. It’s a regular thing. However, he tends to wash his dishes with the door open. He knows I’m watching a movie. I’ve told him before that it’s loud and he usually talks to me while washing dishes, having to yell over it. He didn’t talk to me this time, but he realizes it’s annoying. That in mind, I couldn’t hear the movie at all. So suffice it to say I got upset. I could’ve turned up the volume, but there’s no volume remote so I’d have to turn it up manually on the TV. The walls are incredibly thin, so I’d have to turn it down again once he was done. I didn’t so this, but instead got passive aggressively upset at him, and proceed to yell “fuck you” at him and for him to get out of my sight. I watch movies a lot and he knows both how loud it is and how much I like movies. He’s in his room now. Am I the asshole for telling him to fuck off?

Edit: this was not the first time this has occurred, more something like 6th or 7th time over a few months. I have spoken to my roommate about this issue before and I was under the very strong impression that he knew how loud it was while the water is on in the bathroom; he takes a while to wash his dishes in there so sometimes we try to talk. When I did address him, I originally did so passive aggressively by asking if he knew he was very civilized and aware he is. He appeared very confused and I doubled down on it, reframing it a few times before going into “fuck you” mode. I realize I am the asshole in this situation and I appreciate those who are commenting with even the tiniest amount of respect and humor.
Additional context, I have sensitive hearing and have received a diagnosis for having very sensitive hearing. My room is also right next to the communal bathroom which is only separated by one door and we have spoken often about how much I am offset by the noise I hear in there.

I made a little Blockbuster/film share box vis a vis a "little library." Located on McGee and Channing. If you're in the area, please swing by. These aren't the films in the current rotation for the most part, but still a few are there.

There was another post about a similar blockbuster type creation in Berkeley, so credit to them.
