I had been approaching PT with dread because of the pain involved. I was rushing through the exercises just to get them over with. Several days back, I tried doing the sets more slowly, taking longer and focusing on proper technique, and not pushing hard into the pain level. I think it’s working! I am to the point of actually enjoying heel slides. The results have been very worthwhile. I’m walking more smoothly and longer, don’t need the ice machine for the entire night, sleeping better, using less pain meds, and even helping with household chores. Sure hope this trend continues.
