Hillside46 Wired vs Wireless
Hello! I've been looking into getting another keyboard to try and bridge the gap between two keyboards I currently like and use (Elora and Iris CE), and the Hillside46 has been seeming promising. What I've been wanting is heavy pinky stagger (Elora) with choc spacing (Iris) and as many keys as I can get (heavy pinky stagger and a number row seems to be a unicorn unfortunately, I do like my number row). The splayed columns on the Hillside also look very comfy (making it more interesting than the Piantor).
Now, my concerns/questions:
I've been never soldered before and am minorly terrified of breaking something, so my knee jerk reaction was to buy a pre-soldered kit from beekeeb, however they only sell pre-soldered versions of the wireless Hillside.
I've always done wired when I can, bluetooth connection has sometimes been...iffy in the past, but I haven't tried a wireless keyboard in many years now so perhaps it's better? I don't play twitch reflex/fps games, but I do game quite a bit (primarily WoW) and use my computer for work (programming), so I was wondering if anyone has any experience with both versions and how the latency and connection feels?
(Additionally, if anyone has any OTHER suggestions for keyboards that meet the above wants, I would love those too)
