How does season 2 ranked mode work since i started seeing players in aspirant. and i thought you start as an unranked and do five placements and get placed anywhere between bronze-emerald?

looking for any people who just started Splatoon 3 or just got the game to play with since, i cant find people to play with regularly or are online to play and i find joy in helping new players out. and to find new friends along the way that want to play. post friend code/discord in the comments
