I’m very new to the sport and I’m trying to figure out how to make my gear last. When putting away my wing, it is quite sandy each time. I cannot imagine avoiding this as I have to put it away on the beach. how big of a deal is this? is it harmful if I store the wing a bit sandy? how do people avoid getting the wing sandy?

also, how big of a deal is it if my wing isn’t completely dry when I store it? I generally fly it for 10-15 minutes to dry it off before packing it. but it always is still damp. I’m only in saltwater so I’m hoping that keeps mildew from forming but I wonder how dry it needs to be.

I want to buy a stake rather than a sandbag to tether my wing to after I pump it while I’m setting equip up. does anyone have a recommendation for one they would trust in sand? I’m concerned it’ll pull out and blow away if I don’t get a solid one.

I’m just getting started and am grabbing some gear. I saw an old post about the best pumps to buy from 3 years ago, but I assume with all the changes to the sport this has changed as well.

Does anyone have good recommendations for pumps? I’m trying to buy used so if you have just general things to look for (I.e. key terms) as well as brands that would be greatly appreciated.
