Changes to MTM?

Hello incoming ms1 for fall 2026. I don’t know anyone at AUC and I keep reading on this thread that there were changes to the MTM curriculum. I was wondering what they are out of curiosity. Thanks!!

September 2026 start timeline

Would this be a practical timeline if I started September 2026 at AUC to match Emergency Medicine by 2030?

Sept 2026: Start med school

Sept 2026 to Apr 2028: Basic sciences

Mid Apr 2028: Take Comp 1/CBSE

June to July 7, 2028: Take Step 1
Goal is to take it by July 7 at the latest. June would be ideal.

Late July to Aug 2028: Step 1 pass result comes back and clinical clearance gets finalized

Aug to Sept 2028: Start clinical rotations

Aug 2028 to May/June 2029: Complete core rotations as efficiently as possible
Try to do Internal Medicine and Surgery early because they help a lot for Step 2 and EM.

June to July 2029: Step 2 dedicated study period

July 2029: Take Step 2 CK

July to Aug 2029: First Emergency Medicine audition rotation
Goal is to get at least one strong SLOE.

Aug to Sept 2029: Second Emergency Medicine audition rotation if possible
This would ideally give me a second SLOE.

Sept 2029: Submit ERAS for the 2030 Match

Late Sept 2029: Programs begin reviewing applications
Goal is to have Step 1 passed, Step 2 taken or resulted, ERAS submitted, and at least one SLOE uploaded or coming very soon.

Oct 2029 to Jan 2030: Residency interviews

March 2030: Match Day

May/June 2030: Graduate, depending on school timing

July 2030: Start Emergency Medicine residency

Tested 4/10 haven’t gotten score yet. I am fully convinced I got a 492 on this test. I’ve been studying for two years and feel absolutely devastated. This is my third retake and I think I missed half the questions in cp and bb. I ran out of time on those two sections and felt like I basically guessed on every single one.

My first exam was a 499 second was a 496, and I think this one was even worse.

I’ve been loosing sleep over this, not really able to eat, and it’s all around just been so bad.

I also can’t retake it because this is my 2nd attempt in one year. I already asked AAMC for an extra test and I blew it.

Anyways my question is how do you deal with absolutely knowing you bombed it? I don’t really want to hear oh I’m sure you did well or just wait for your score because I simply cannot feel that way. I know I blowing.

I can’t keep living like this…
