I posted on a FB group seeking a 5 week rental and was private messaged by someone with a perfect location. We agreed on price, bringing my dog, the room/single bed and parking. What they didn't tell me was there is no air conditioning and the entire basement reeks of cat piss. The house is 82 degrees. I can't sleep, all my dog food started molding and medication went bad. I'm on day 3 of 35. The owner is really nice, even bought a fan for my room but that doesn't help. WIBTA if buv a portable ac unit and deduct it from our agreed price? I'm searching for another place right now but is very tough with memorial weekend
