Concerning message after doing a Facebook Marketplace Swap

Hi all,

This evening I traded my Ford Mondeo ST220 for an Audi A3. The deal was done, ended up being the Audi plus £50 for the Mondeo. Valued it around a grand as it was high mileage, high owners, and is a bit rough on the outside. And tonight I've had this message from the guy I sold it to outlining a load of issues he has noticed. I'm calling buyers remorse, but what are my rights here? I was as honest as I could be in the advert, and he also test drove the car. Not only that, but being a private sale, and not a dealership sale, there was no warranty given or implied. The only sting is that we both have the V5s for each car, since he forgot the V5 for his Audi, so there hasn't been any ownership changes yet on paper (both cars are still taxed and MOTd, not to mention I have now even insured the Audi in my own name), so I'm just concerned if I tell him sorry, no returns, then he will refuse to sort the V5 out.

Pointers and advice? Thanks in advance ❤️

Update: thanks for all the advice, here is what I have sent him:

Good morning. Sorry to hear that it wasn't a perfect drive back for you. Both cars were test driven prior to us making the deal, so if there were any issues with either car, that would have been the opportunity to find them, for either of us. The cars are sold as seen, so I cannot accept any returns, not to mention I paid for and sorted out the insurance on the Audi last night (somehow cost more to insure than the Mondeo cost me?!), so I would be out of pocket on that front. Please can you sort the V5 transfer out, and send me the number on the new keepers slip, so I can tax the Audi in my name, then I can send you the V5 for the Mondeo as well.

Many thanks, Ash

(For context, as he didn't have the V5 with him, I held my V5 ransom until he did the transfer on his car)

Hi nerds, just wanted to share a little bit of appreciation for my personal progress, as due to my personal mental health and financial struggles, I'm trying to give myself an overall positive outlook on things

Bit of a background, I've just turned 26, came out as trans in June 2024, started doing the ol' DIY HRT injection stabby in September 2025, and began shoving Progesterone up my butt in March 2026, so I've had time for both hormones to start cooking 🍳

The first small win came a couple months back, when I noticed my hair, which had already started receding a couple years prior, is beginning to get "baby fluff" come through. I had already accepted the fact that my hairline was going to, at best, stabilise, since this was my biggest reason to start HRT. I have a half-brother who is 6 years older, and the years have not been too kind to his hairline, not to mention my grandad and both uncles on my mum's side have more fingers than hairs on their heads, so MPB runs in the family. Seeing the effects in action made me really happy, especially as at this point I hadn't been noticing much physical change, as a lot of the changes haven't been physical, like emotions and my libido going out for milk and smokes. Also, body hair is naturally thinning, so yippee.mp3

Second came just the other day, so we are now well into the prog taking cycle. Libido has still gone big Tesco (you want anything?), but I've now noticed that top growth has fucking COOKED in the last month. Normal HRT hasn't done much for me (every female in my family has generally been small chested so I was never expecting much), but it's safe to say I am now at a solid A-Cup already! It ain't much, but it's honest work.

But yeah, we are appreciating the little wins today. Share your recent wins below, no matter how big or small

Stay safe, eat your vegetables, or don't, I can't be everyone's mommy
