Housing Stability Fund policy change

Just a heads up, the Housing Stability Fund will no longer assist you if you need to replace your bed and/or couch after a bed bug infestation. I just spoke with them and the policy was changed April. Social Services says they have zero resources to help with this.

Treatment logistics question

I'm getting my first treatment and I wanted to know, if I have to bag up all my curtains and bedding and clothes and do the wash/dry in a commercial laundromat thing - what do I do while I wait for the second treatment?

I'm not supposed to open any of the clean laundry I bring home until after the 2nd. Do I leave a some laundry and bedding untreated and use and then wash while the 2nd treatment is being done? Same with curtains?

Needing some guidance

I moved into a building that has a reputation because of lack of options. I have been here about 5 months. I found a bedbug crawling on a cushion I had on my lap while on the couch yesterday morning. It had definitely fed on me or my cats, as it was full of blood.

I did go to a bunch of yard sales the day previous so there's a chance I picked up a lone one (didn't purchase anything but some DVDs) but I know the likelihood is that I have more.

I have torn apart my bed, looked under the mattress and boxspring, looked at all my baseboards and so far haven't seen any others.

I am going through prepping for treatment, but I am also disabled, my sole income is disability and I have HUNDREDS of books. I don't know how to deal with these. I can't even afford to go get storage bins, much less go buy hundreds of individual zip lock bags.

I'm already stressed about paying to put all my stuff that can be put through a commercial dryer at the laundromat.

What are the best options here?
