I have a dvl-909 that has a problem playing side B, it flips, laser moves but then it shuts down. I’ve tried adding new grease to the mechanism. But today it managed to flip and play side b, but now i’ve tried 10-15 times without luck.

Anybody know what the problem is?

Thinking of getting a demodulator for AC3, i’m now using a optical cable connected to my receiver.

The question is do I need an extra cable from my player to the demodulator and to my receiver? Or will the demodulator still provide audio from the discs that aren’t AC3?
