O1 visa denied 214b. Should I try again?

I applied for an O1 visa as consular processing. It was denied with reason stated 214(b) but I am guessing it was most probably due to my arrest record. I was arrested due to an argument with a very bad roommate during my PhD years (a guy but local law still says DV). The case was dismissed (not prosecuted) by the DA. My O1 application remained stuck on 221g processing for more than 6 months and then got denied. Complete unfortunate situation for me in summary.

The company that sponsored my O1 for wants me to try for visa again.

  1. Do you think I should retry given the current trends in the administration?

  2. I don't want too many visa rejections on my record. If I get rejected again what consequences will it have for me?

  3. Any success stories for O1 visa approval after arrest record in recent times?

  4. I have since started working for a big tech in my home country and they may try for some other visas in the future (H1B, L1 etc.). Should I just see if that opportunity comes in the future? I am happy where I am but of course US offers whole new set of opportunities.
