Overseas pet travel help.
Ok, military family here with orders from California to Spain. My wife is currently on the phone with reservations and they are saying that due to traveling on military orders, we just show up the day of our flight and "hope" that we can get our cat on the plane. The AA website says there are restrictions, the lady on the phone says there are no restrictions and just to show up. There is no way that is correct. Website says we can't have the cat in the cabin, lady on the phone says we can. Lady on the phone says the 85 degree limit "depends on the aircraft" yet the website states its determined based off the temperature at the airport. We are about to have to drive to the airport to try to ask at the ticket counter if they can help us out at all.
Does anyone have any helpful information regarding flying overseas on military orders with a pet?
We really don't want to show up to the airport and get turned away due to our pet at the last second and become stranded.
