Hey reddit! so before i did not really believe in ghosts and such until i moved into this apartment in nj. so for the first year or so nothing really was happening. but after a while i started hearing door closing sounds, knocks and such. i did not think much of it until one night when my family went to bed, they turned off all the lights and went upstairs. for example of my apartment layout. (which i will show in the image below) i have a couch that sits directly infront of the staircase and dining area. i went on my computer and i look up a bit and i see a woman standing in the dining area. shes slim ish? normal like human size. her head was down and i panicked so i did not get really a good look of her. i flicked on my light which is right next to my couch (arms reach) and she was gone. i know this sounds like s stereotypical ghost story but i put this on my life. a few weeks go by and my neighbor asks one of my family member if the apartments were haunted since she has been hearing weird noises for a while. im genuinely kind of scared now and wonder if you guys can help me figure this out. was i seeing things? is this a real ghost? what kind of ghost is it? im a big scardy cat as some would say and i think of the worst whenever but ive never in my life seen a figure like this and i cant get it out of my head. i live in clinton new jersey as well if anyone has any other experiences. thanks for reading!
