I was struggling to get my tires seated properly on the rims. The bead just wouldn’t pop up into place on the rim.

I sprayed some PTFE dry lube onto the bead and inflated the tire — worked effortlessly and seated the tire super easily (at least so far).

The downside was the mess afterwards: white PTFE spots on the rim and tire sidewalls, plus having to thoroughly clean everything, especially the braking surface on the rim.

Do you have any other tips or tricks for getting stubborn tire beads to seat properly? Please share.

The PTFE method worked like a charm, but the cleanup is pretty annoying.

I did a mistake and ordered new chainrings for Tiagra 4703 crankset and my current crankset is 4603 so they wont fit.

My question is: can I install 3x chainrings to Tiagra 4700 crankset? There is one used one available near me and thinking to buy it if I can install 3x on it.
