
E-Sim activation/swap hell - any ideas?
Have had Cricket Wireless for years now. It's been Fine.
Time add a line. Check that phone we have is compatible for the "bring your own phone", and it's unlocked.
Add line - get "free" phone.
Plan is to use my SIM in the new phone, which I do, works fine.
But new number is tied to an e-sim. Was told had to activate the e-sim to activate the new line, then we can change it. If I try to activate the e-sim I'm told it's in use on another number.
It's now been 5 days, I've been on 3+ voice calls, a couple online chats, and into the physical store twice. They can't even call up my account now or cancel the new line, when I do it I'm told there's an "Order Pending", if I try to do chat support it doesn't recognize my existing number, but does recognize the new number, but I can't use it because I can't receive the SMS code, because I can't activate/use it...
Anyone have any knowledge/ideas?
