I got tired of not having a real browser-based Pyfa, so I built one. And it works on mobile.

Hey y'all.

I’ve been building Triff.Tools, a browser-based suite of EVE tools, and I’m ready to show the biggest, shiniest, newest piece of it:

A fully featured EVE fitting simulator that runs in the browser.

I call it TriffFits. This is not a simplified fit viewer or whatever. If you've used Pyfa, the desktop UI will be very familiar. I wanted to build a real fitting workbench with the accuracy and feature depth people expect from Pyfa but directly in a browser... and usable on mobile.

TriffFits supports:

  • Pyfa/eos-backed fitting math
  • EFT import/export
  • desktop and mobile UIs
  • saved fits tied to your optional Triff.Tools account
  • optional ESI skill profiles linked to your account
  • multiple open fit tabs
  • right click interaction like desktop Pyfa
  • abyssal modules and mutaplasmid stats
  • implants, boosters and implant sets
  • drones, fighters, active drone counts, and bandwidth limits
  • projected effects from other open fits
  • command bursts from other open fits
  • wormhole/environment effects
  • pricing, EHP, capacitor, reps, DPS, mining yield, and all the usual fitting stats

The mobile version is not just the desktop page crushed onto a phone screen. It has its own mobile UI for fitting, browsing modules, viewing stats, managing drones/cargo/implants/boosters, applying projected effects, and using command bursts.

That was one of the big reasons I wanted to build this. As far as I know, there has not really been a full Pyfa-level fitting app that works properly from a phone browser (or any browser tbh).

How am I supposed to waste time at work if I can't be a Pyfa warrior?

Don't worry lightmode enjoyers, Pyfa is NOT obsolete. Pyfa is still the foundation and the gold standard. This is more like: a Pyfa-style fitting tool lived in your browser, syncs saved fits to your account and still worked while you’re on your phone.

The fitting simulator is part of a larger EVE utility site. Triff.Tools also has:

  • market tools (with charts! lines go up and down!)
  • bulk, shareable item appraisals
  • battle report generation
  • wormhole / structure intel (including a structure age calculator)
  • fully built out industry calculators
  • POS planning (s/o IGB for the OG)
  • wormhole PvE site breakdowns and references
  • Discord timestamp tools
  • blue loot and participation payout calculators
  • a lot more. Genuinely, a lot.

This all started as a pile of wormhole tools for me and my corp, and slowly turned into a full EVE tool site.

I’d love feedback and bug reports, I have a contact page that notifies me in discord as well as links all the ways to reach me.

Use it to check your corpmates fits while you're at work, make changes or theorycraft while you're procrastinating, or just to test it out.

Try it here: https://triff.tools/fitting

iOS chrome app likes to play games with this page; sometimes you have to “pinch to zoom” in and out a couple times to see the full page. No idea why.

^(Side note: Seriously, this wouldn't be possible without the guys who made and maintain) ^(eos)^(/)^(Pyfa)^(. Thank you so much for your work. The fitting service runs an unmodified copy of Pyfa/eos headlessly behind the scenes and returns the fits stats back to the frontend. My site handles the web UI, saved fits, accounts, ESI skill profiles, mobile layout, and supporting tool integrations; Pyfa/eos remains the engine for the actual fitting calculations, and its by-far the best at it. Pyfa is GPL-3.0 licensed and eos is LGPL-3.0 licensed.) ^(Triff.Tools) ^(is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by pyfa, CCP, or Fenris Creations.)
