How do y’all afford this literally?
So my wife and I are new to the festival scene (we’ve only been to one so far, which was FK this year), we quickly fell in love with it, and I think it’s safe to say that we’re craving more. We are absolute bassheads so Lost Lands is like the perfect festival for us. The only problem is we live in Florida and Lost Lands is in Ohio and we are pushing 30 with two children. We are not broke by any means, but we definitely keep a tighter budget than some. I’ve been doing some light calculations based on the ticket/hotel/flight/shuttle pricing currently and I can’t come up with anything less than about $3000 (without camping because that’s not our vibe) and that doesn’t even include spending money for the three days and everything that we’re going to spend preparing for the fest like outfits and essentials. To put it in perspective, including the $88.88 ticket price for FK and everything else we needed that first time festival goers, we spent about $1200, which was very reasonable.
So I guess I’m wondering if some of you are in similar situations and how y’all manage to afford this. There is no way we’re making it this year but I want to pre-plan for next year and I’ll probably have to start saving now. Somebody please spare my sanity and tell me that I don’t have to pay around $5000 to attend Dino Disneyland.
