Hijabi and marriage
Hello. I was just wondering lately I have noticed most muslim guys in the UK are married to non hijabus. These guy are practicing and well educated (doctors, engineers), but their choice of wife is often a white/ light skinned non hijabi wife.
I understand that attraction is the main component for men in relationships, do they seek out non hijabi women because they look more attractive?
I know hijab is not an indicator of piety but it kind of makes me think as hijabi that most young guys will pick non hijabi looking at the what’s going on.
Their main argument is that hijab is a journey, but it makes me think how can a hijabi ever compete with a women who doesnt wear hijab, their beauty is on full display?
On top of that they’re also allowed to marry non Muslim women so where does that leave hijabi practicing women. Also white skin seems to preferred skin tone for brown muslim men?
