How often can you change a silicone doll?

As the title says. I have a partial silicone baby that I have for therapeutic purposes that I would like to last as long as possible. I've heard mixed responses on changing them often. and what about with a vinyl doll? I have a toddler that I would also like to change but am scared of damaging either.
