Are ashton drake dolls welcome here?

I just purchased a partial silicone ashton drake second hand and I was wondering if it would be against any rules to post the doll on here once she gets here. I honestly dont know how I feel about silicone in general so there is a chance I might not bond with the doll and end up selling. I just felt like asking because I know ashton drakes are quite debated in this community.

she’s finally here 🥹

my babygirl finally came today!! this is my first ever reborn and i’m over the moon with her! she’s gorgeous and she has beautiful golden curls! 🥰 she’s in her halloween nighty all ready for bed! i’m going to try and style her hair tomorrow and if im successful i’ll post more so everyone can see how beautiful she is! i haven’t decided on a name yet, so for now she’s little miss 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Have you ever needed to take a break from your reborns?

I have a history with CPTSD that goes back to when I was a baby. I am working on this with a therapist, and with my reborns, it's been very helpful to have them. But recently, I was triggered, and right now, I can't really be around them, which makes me sad, but I also know it's good to take a break. So that I don't make the situation worse for me, emotionally. Has anyone else needed to take a break even if it isn't for something as intense as my situation?

I can't even enjoy changing their clothes, hugging them, and some of the time I can't even watch the youtube channels that have reborns that I like.

My cat peed on my cuddle body baby !

Guys I’m so upset my cat decided to pee on my baby’s body! I took her apart and will be ordering a new body soon. I feel so bad ! It was heartbreaking seeing her taken apart.

Help me not feel like a "Laura" loser; What was your impulse buy?

So I was faltering around online this afternoon and put in a bid on this first edition (SOLE of 1522) Laura sculpt. And now it's on its way to me!

I was not even really shopping for a new doll per se, but have always wanted a "Laura" despite how much she is copied, knockedoff, and siliconized. I keep thinking I should have thought out this purchase. Yet, here we are, so I would love to hear about your impulse reborn buy.

TLDR: What reborn did you buy on impulse? Do you still have it? How did it turn out? So thankful, I suspect that people in this group might understand!

Will heated blankets damage a reborn?

I usually have my heated blanket wrapped around me since I’m always cold but I want to hold my reborn. I worry though that doing that while being wrapped in my heated blanket could damage my reborn. Reborn’s body is cloth with vinyl head and full vinyl limbs. I really like to avoid doing stuff that could damage it since I got it for free a few years ago.

Do you prefer painted hair cuddle babies?

I recently painted my first cuddle head and I’m worried about hair. I originally planned on leaving him bald, sadly I’ve noticed bald babies (within my painting style & skill) sell much cheaper than I’d like to price him.

Then I thought of painting hair and immediately decided against it (horrible at it). Now I’m thinking of rooting. I’ve heard collectors say they prefer painted hair on cuddle babies because they’re meant to cuddle (rooted hair could often get matted from cuddles).

What do you think?
