these packages just keep showing up to our house, every day. sometimes every other day... and theyre all addressed to me... in Theas size...

odd.. because my husband banned me from buying baby clothes. so I could NOT be the one buying them. obviously...

Stopped into IKEA with Eleanor after a doctor’s appointment today! I was going just to grab a few more of my new favorite meal prep containers there, but I couldn’t resist snapping a few quick pictures in the nursery setups. ☺️

We got quite a few “aww”, “so cute”, and “oh my goodness!” comments as we walked through, and one lady asked how old she was at checkout. When I told her “she’s actually a doll” she did not get it at first until I said “she’s not real, here, touch her leg!” She was so surprised when she realized it and asked if she could take a picture (I said yes!). The employee working the self checkout area overheard and chimed in to say “oh she’s a reborn doll!” And told me she used to watch YouTube videos of reborns when she was younger! She got a kick out of seeing one in person and out in the wild for the first time. If I wasn’t in a bit of a rush I would have offered both ladies to hold her but alas, just didn’t have time for that today. But it was a lovely interaction with both of them all the same! 🥰

He is really cute! And I absolutely love his little spit bubbles. But I also need to downsize my collection.

As a prototype, he does not have a numbered COA. Unfortunately he did not come with an artist certificate either. He has pretty recognizable features.

I actually took Gus out of the stroller to hold him in public. I don't do that very often, I usually keep him in the stroller. My confidence is growing! 🤗

I think after 6 years on eBay I need to figure out something else. I know it’s the slow season with back to school and summer but I’m really not getting any sales on eBay right now and need to try something. Should I try reborns.com? How much are the fees to get them to promote me? I have only authentic kits but I purchase from eBay or secondary sellers so I don’t have “vendor” receipts. So much cheaper that way and I get to paint kits that not everyone has. I do ensure to purchase kits that I know haven’t been copied so there really shouldn’t be any issues with that.

What about vinted? I’ve heard some positive things about that too but also a fair share of negative.

I’m ok with about one sale a month but eBay has just gone down hill and they low ball my prices due to all the cheap dolls listed. I’m tired of people asking me for a doll for under $100 just because they see a factory painted “reborn” doll for that.

Any advice on other selling platforms is appreciated. I will say I did NOT enjoy selling on etsy or Mercari.

Hi everyone! 🥰 have you ever looked at a doll you’re working on for so long that they start to look absolutely insane to you? I’ve spent so much time on this sweet girl and she is VERY rosy 😂 I tried to neutralize her w mint green and I’m at the point where I can’t tell if she looks good or if I will be embarrassing myself by selling her when I’m done (don’t mind the hair it’s only half way done 🥰). I will price her of course accordingly as a beginner/booboo baby, but I can’t tell if her coloring is too far gone. These pics are taken in the most “natural light” I can find at 10 pm 🤣 Thank you so much all! 🥰
