Why are we like this?
I love the game too. Even though it’s the least popular game in the series, how about we encourage people to give it a second chance with a fresh perspective.
Instead of getting so defensive about it, that we resort to…this.

I’m not the best, but I’m also not the worst. I’ve can kinda sorta handle myself in PvP. But a really good player no hit me once. That was a wake up call that I hadn’t even scratched the surface. I really enjoy the pvp aspect of these games, and I hope Miyazaki never does away with it.
In my personal experience, the PvP in DS3 is just ridiculously honorable. Most invaders that I’ve encountered only seem interested in a fair fight. So when I invade, I try to uphold that standard. I’ve been in situations where I could have easily been ganked, but even with multiple targets in the area, I’ve been pleasantly surprised with 1v1 fights. It’s really nothing like Elden Ring.
A lot of invaders in DS2 just seem more interested in breaking your gear so that you can’t damage them. I don’t know if that’s the meta, but just my personal experience.
Conceptually, this covenant is hilarious. Miyazaki sat down with his development team and decided that it was time to let players invade during a boss fight, and essentially become the boss. I’ve been having so much fun being a little roadblock to players. Well, me and my painting guardian buddy that is. Can you even imagine how people would have reacted if there was a forced pvp boss fight like that in Elden Ring? The casuals would have been in front of Fromsoft’s building, pitchforks in hand.
I bet the covenant activity was a blast when DS3 was at the height of its player activity.
I’ve been having a lot of fun with helping other players beat the bosses. I’m currently at lvl 110, which can get me summoned regularly at Twin Princes and everything after that. If I go to lvl 125, would I be too high to get summoned for Twin Princes? I also would like to still be able to help people with Nameless King too. If 120-125 is too high for those bosses, I’ll just stick with lvl 110.
Thanks
