Need some advice
Hi, recently I decided to apply new savings account from rhb but got rejected because apparently in their bank internal system, I got scammer alert which issues by maybank. They said I need to clear the blacklist from maybank which is weird since I haven't used that maybank since 2022. I thought they closed the account already.
Then I see in my gov app (which I recently downloaded since I'm doing some digging), I got 2.7k something in my maybank on 2024. Which is also weird since I don't even remember my maybank username, password or even the branch I open it too so how could someone transfer money there?. I only opened the savings account because of study loan and didnt use it anymore after finish studying.
Anyway off topic, I think someone maybe scammer used my account but I'm not sure how they got it. Then maybe that scammed person reported it? And my name got blacklist on bank record. So now I don't really know what to do?
Do I need to filed a police report? That incident happens in 2024 but I just found out recently. And how can I lift maybank blacklist? And how can I permanently close that account too? I thought they automatically closed after being inactive for more than a year? What should I do? And can't they reversed back the money receive to the original owner? Why they just let it be? I didn't even receive any letter too (ノ｀Д´)ノ彡┻━┻ my address didn't change at all.
