Does Everything Look Good in this Kitchen Ext Wiring?

Just wanna make sure everything is compliant and I haven't missed anything before the plasterboard is dotted on.

Ring 2.5mm, lights 1.5mm, heat alarm 3 core 1.5mm, hob 10mm, oven 4mm, cat6 for ceiling WiFi AP.

I will cap some of the cables with galvanised steel as I will be installing the kitchen.

Thanks.

Oil In Coolant Tank VW Golf 6

Is this a problem with the oil cooler?

Garage said likely head gasket but Internet says oil cooler as gasket would mean froth inside oil fill area.

If this is gonna cos more than £400 it's kinda uneconomical to fix, such an old car.

I think if it's oil cooler I can attempt to DIY it.

How long realistically can it go like this providing I syringe out the oil from the coolant and top up the engine oil when it goes down?

BTW it showed low oil on the dash 2 weeks ago so I topped it up, kinda makes sense where it went. Not sure how long it's been going that way as I only noticed it last week. Oil piled up around the outside of the coolant tank as it's being pushed out via the sensor hole.

Thanks.

Is This a Return Case or Can It Be Adjusted? Mitre Saw

Pics in order:

  1. Pushed back

  2. Pulled forward

  3. Pushed back with ruler

  4. Pulled forward with ruler (more than 1mm difference)

  5. Bevelled left (almost no gap, but not yet scraping)

  6. Bevelled right (big enough gap for clearance)

It's the 10" 40v mitre saw, brand new.

How do I adjust this? I tried to undo the 2 Allen bolts on the rails but they are impossible to undo, even tried with an impact.

Thanks.

Where To Drill Cables For Extension?

I wanna pull them through before they build the block wall up.

Should I just drill close to the top within the cavity?

Will the top of the wall be left open so I can run them into the ceiling when it's built?

Round conduit to protect the cables going through?

Thanks.

Mounting Consumer Unit on Wood... MDF or Ply?

I want cables coming from the back of the CU so need to mount it on battens and a board. I want it to maintain fire resistance (obviously).

I've been told don't use MDF and use plywood instead... and to paint the ply. Isn't this overkill or unnecessary?

My plan was 2 battens, left and tight, nicely cut MDF board with curves routed on the corners, oversized square cut where the cables will pop through to the CU.

Cables are coming from back wall but also from top in trunking, so I need enough space to get a nice bend with that 10mm.

Thanks.
