AC out again…

Hi all I am new here and hoping to get some advice on what to do. Currently have a 2020 Civic. I initially leased it in 2020 and at the end of lease decided to finance it since payments would be low. I had just got into grad school and needed to minimize costs. A few years ago the AC went out and one of the dealerships said 2 parts were covered under a warranty.

A few weeks ago I started to notice my AC not blowing out cold air again. Even though it was episodic, I did not want to wait since it is getting hot. Dealership said my evaporator has to be replaced with a quote of $2700. I’m still in school so this fee is near impossible even with loans. I tried calling Honda for the goodwill assistance but it will take time since they need to reach out to the dealership. Should I keep my fingers crossed for Honda helping out with this? Or should I try finding someone outside of Honda to fix this for less? I kind of regret keeping this car after seeing all the AC issues, but I thought I would be fine after the replacement :/
