26M, 100k, and Wife
Just realized my net worth is officially over 100k, I’m extremely proud of this accomplishment yet sometimes I feel like I don’t have enough. This sub occasionally pops up to my feed and today I decided to celebrate myself by posting this.
I’m from an ok single parent family, the type where I don’t get a lot of financial help but my mom made sure I didn’t starve, which I’m very grateful.
I didn’t take a traditional path, I wanted to become independent quickly so I joined the military right after high school, invested a bunch with the little I made, got out of the military to pursue higher education. Invested a large percentage of my income — perhaps way too much for having an emergency fund — from military benefits again. Now I’m currently pursing an undergrad in one of the T5 colleges in the U.S., with full financial aid.
And I just got married last month to the most fascinating and gorgeous woman I know, she’s a testament to how lucky I am.
If the math doesn’t add up, that’s because I have about 3k in cash I’m not putting a picture of because that’s just too much lol
