Any tetras/quads back in gym?

So for my injury, I was a power lifter at my university and I really enjoyed going to the gym and getting checked after my injury. I was in an induced coma for about two months resulting in me losing every ounce of muscle I had I’m a C4 incomplete injury and regained some extent of arm function, and was wondering if any tetras were able to go back to the gym and get really jacked and how does it really work for example how would you do lat pull downs and transfer into harder equipment or just in general? How does it work?

Extreme spasticity and clonus

I’ve (m22) been injured for 9months now C4 incomplete, I have horrible spasms they are fucking irritating asf. I’ve tried baclofan( max dose), Botox and Tizanidine none have worked intact each of those meds made it worse if anything but my consultant swears by it.

I’ve got irritating asf clonus anytime I go outside in an uneven surface it gets triggered really aggressive asw so much so I have to go back in or stop for a long time - ffs I can’t even go out

My spasm are awful asw, I’ve got them in my hands core and legs any effort or inconvenience triggers it - I’ve checked for UTI, Bowels and bladder they aren’t the issue

Anyone who’s gone through something similar pls pls help me even sleeping at night is challenging now and I can’t be fully independent bcz of this!!

Life after injury

I’m a 21(M) just suffered a SCI abt 7 months at C4 incomplete, I’ve lost myself, I feel absolutely shit for me being Arnd people, for my family and even frnds, like a major inconvenience - to clarify I have regained hand function ( to an extent), my fingers are still very weak. Before my injury, I used to stand tall used to be a power lifter and also did some kickboxing. I was extreme, extreme active, never felt like I was an inconvenience.

Now I feel like shit, I can’t even sit straight ffs. My girlfriend four years is also very affected by my situation. She has mentioned quite a few times about how it’s already affected her and what she thought of a relationship many of the dreams that will never be able to fulfill.
I feel I’ve lost myself. I used to do music while studying at university but now I can’t play any instrument. I can’t go to the gym to do anything meaningful and any sort of extreme sports is out of question.
I know it seems very shallow but really loved what I was.

This is just a horrible situation for everyone with this injury- I know people say that you adapt and move on with simple things are out of reach for example we couldn’t go to one of the restaurants because it had steps and when we went to the other one, I made a complete fool of myself as there was only one toilet, which was really small and my wheelchair hold the entire thing so no one could use it other than me just to do a catheter.

Not to mention the other million issues this condition has caused.

Mum on long-term visit visa (180 days/entry) — caring for me during spinal cord injury rehab. What are her options?

My mum has been in the UK since December 2025 supporting me after I suffered a spinal cord injury in an accident. I'm currently an inpatient at a specialist spine rehab in Oswestry with a discharge date in August.

She holds a long-term UK visit visa (valid until 2028, 180 days per entry, Indian national). Her entry history this visit:

  • Entered 7 Dec 2025
  • Left 2 Jan 2026
  • Re-entered 9 Jan 2026 — still here

Her current entry hits 180 days around 7–8 July 2026.

Prior visits are clean, she came briefly in July 2025 for my graduation and left within two weeks.

Questions:

  1. Is there any compassionate/medical grounds process to extend beyond 180 days, or is that a hard limit?
  2. If she leaves in late June/early July, how long should she stay out before re-entering without raising flags?
  3. Does the brief Jan 2–9 gap count against her or is it essentially ignored given the overall picture?

We're already speaking to immigration lawyers but curious if anyone has been in a similar situation. Any experience welcome.
