Pairing Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE to a new Dongle - Troubleshooting
I am trying to pair a replacement dongle(ordered directly from Corsair) with my Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE, but the pairing wizard never enables “Start Process.”
I see both devices, the headset and the dongle. When I go to the dongle and try to pair, the start process is grayed out.
What I already tried:
- Set headset switch to Wired/USB mode (not wireless)
- Powered headset off while still in Wired/USB mode
- Connected headset directly to PC with USB cable
- Plugged dongle directly into rear motherboard USB ports (no hubs/extensions)
- Tried multiple rear USB ports including USB 2.0
- Tried at least 3 different USB cables
Pairing process:
- Opened dongle → Connections tab
- Set Mode to “Multi-port” and "Playstation"
- Under “USB Wireless Receiver Pairing,” the Pair button becomes clickable
- Clicking Pair opens the pairing wizard
Problem:
The wizard says:
“Connect all the devices you want to pair with…”
and
“Connect Slipstream wireless USB receiver…”
But “Start Process” stays greyed out permanently. Only “Cancel” is clickable.
So:
- Headset is definitely detected over USB
- Dongle is definitely detected
- Pair window opens correctly
- But Start Process never enables no matter what I do
Has anyone seen this before or found a fix?
