I had a tooth extracted in May and just got the implant today. When I asked my dentist how long I should ne careful about what I eat, he said I could basically eat anything as soon as the anesthesia wears off. I should only avoid alcohol and smoking for the next few weeks.

Can that be right or is my dentist waaaaaay to careless? I am so confused about what to eat and would probably stick to soups, soft toast and scrambled eggs at least until the stitches are removed.

Has somebody else heard this from their dentist?
