In the past I was a lightning assistant and the craft always fascinated me. Was talking to some photographers and despite taking some great natural lighting photos, none of them had ever done stage lighting or even had an interest in it.

It just seems like they’re leaving so much on the table in terms of creative roads.

Is it hard to learn? Cumbersome? Was I just talking to the wrong crowd?

Always struggled with this. Some stuff might take me a day and others a week. Sometimes shit happens (equipment breaks, talent pulls out, I get sick etc.) and that throws out whatever estimate I've had. I've being told 'as long as it takes' or 'how long is a piece of string?' and I get that- but it's not exactly great to tell businesses 'coming soon'.
