[actives] [technique] Should I change anything or just be patient?
Hey there! First time grower here looking for some guidance. I have these 2 cakes that are in the same fruiting chamber. The one on the right seems fairly happy, but I am slightly worried about the one on the left as it is only fruiting short stubby ones on the side of the cake and not on the top. Since they are in the same fruiting chamber with one of them having a decent yield, I would tend to think the humidity levels are appropriate... Is there anything I should try to do to remedy the situation with the left cake or should I just be patient? I've just increased the FAE after doing some reading to deal with the fuzzy feet seen with the cake on the right. Anything else I should be thinking of doing?
Bonus question: I am going to harvest the mushrooms from the cake on the right fairly son as the veil has started to break on one of them. For that big clump of mushrooms at the top, should I be trying to surgically remove the big ones while leaving the small ones to grow more, or will that be damaging the mycelial base too much and I'm better off taking the whole cluster at a time?
Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!
