Unfortunately, it seems that this is way less popular of an opinion than it ought to be, but once they're old enough to understand children ought to be able to say no to a medical procedure or say yes to one without necessarily being in agreement with their parents.
Example A: an antivaxxer's kid gets bitten by an animal, and rabies is possible. The kid ought to be able to get the rabies vaccine even without their parents' consent.
Example B: A child ought to be able to refuse procedures that they find violating or harmful, so long as it's not life or death.
