Aquarium frogbit floating plants

Free, pest and snail free. Its covering both my aquarium surfaces at this point and blocking light. I don't want to start throwing it away, that would be such a waste. There is *one* catch, there is duckweed intermingled. These are literally set and forget, no care needed other than light.

They've been in my tank for around 6 weeks, I dose flourish weekly (about to switch to ThriveS all im one), and have co2. Honestly thr Ludwigia seem to be doing worse, everything else is thriving. Should I cut ALL of the curled up leaves off? Thank you in advance.
