So, I’ll start by saying I’ve been awakened for about a year, but when I look back I think I always knew in some capacity. But recently, I’ve been doing a lot of research and I haven’t found many therians with the same experience as me. So I’m starting to wonder if I’m making this up in my head for attention or something.

I guess the easiest way to put this is that I feel like my theriotypes shift? I guess? Like, one day I’ll feel more connected to an otter, and the next I’m a bat or a fossa. I have several theriotypes, and sometimes it feels like I have too many, more than most, and maybe I’m faking it and just thinking what I want to think. I’m really struggling with this, and I don’t have any in-person friends to talk to about this, so I was hoping Reddit could help me. Or at least give me some advice.

So, I have a younger sister. And I’m living at home for the summer. As a therian, not quite out in the open but wearing tails and masks around the house (tails almost always, masks occasionally), I’m really struggling with her. She is, for lack of a better term, a complete and total bitch about my more animal side.

Today, she told me my mom was saying negative things and just was being a bully. I really hate it in this house, but what’s worse is my other little sister is also a therian and wears gear, and the brat is worse to her than me. I’m really protective of therian sister and don’t know how to help, because brat sister is forcing us to not be ourselves. I’m worried she’ll put us to the public through her friends. And then what?

She always has big tantrums when I wear my gear in public or even around the house.

Does anyone have any advice about how to express my animal quietly without setting her off?
