Problems trying to set up email on Samsung phone
I'm trying to set up my mom's email on her phone. I see Xfinity no longer supports their own app for this, so have tried both Outlook and the Samsung email app. Neither one will allow me to authenticate: I choose manual IMAP setup, enter the correct credentials via the Xfinity interface that comes up, and then it tells me username or password is incorrect. (I have tried not choosing "manual", also will not recognize the credentials) I have no problem logging into the account via my laptop, and I have double-checked that the box allowing 3rd party access is checked.
As far as I can tell, this should be pretty straightforward, especially as the issue appears to lie with recognizing Xfinity credentials. Does anyone have a solution for this? I'd prefer not to just use the browser to log her in, but at this point that seems like the only option.
