Map And Compass System || Dissonance Development
Hey everyone!
I wanted to share what I've implemented this morning:
Firstly I patched up my old map system to work with the new map! Planning to add panning the map later on.
Now on the map in your menu, you can see named locations and active objectives.
Alongside the map, you now have a compass at the top of your view, giving you a sense of direction whilst also displaying where objectives are located.
These are highly configurable and some locations may only appear when unlocked or discovered during gameplay.
Implementation of these features ensure that you can remain orientated, and keep track of what events are taking place on the map itself.
This follows along my roadmap of the structure pass which is being developed, and was integral to the introduction of the story so that I can begin quest and codex discovery implementation.
