Official T-shirt received! (Review)

Got my black T-shirt! Good print quality. I bought it from the official AdP merch page at https://anginedepoitrine.com/boutique

Fabric is just the right weight (not too thin, but not thick and heavy, I'd say a little lighter than medium weight) so it should be comfortable in hot weather if we ever get any here. The fabric weight is light enough so you should stay cool, but not so thin that we ladies have to worry about what color bra to wear under it. (This is the black shirt. I have no idea about the white shirts.)

Seems to run true to size (U.S.) with some extra room in case it shrinks. I don't know how much it might shrink over time, but it's 100-percent cotton so shrinking with repeated washings is a possibility I suppose.

Length seems fine (I'm 5'9"). Also I'd say there's sufficient leeway for possible future length-wise shrinkage, so I don't anticipate any bare midriff or behind hangin' out lol.

As to shipping, I had to be kinda patient because it was like 2 weeks before I got a tracking number and then another week or so before I received the shirt. It arrived in perfect condition, in an adequately-protective plastic envelope thingie which is good because it fit easily in the little parcel lockers we have here.

It was mailed from someplace in New York (I'm in Seattle) and there were no tariff issues, just a regular hassle-free normal delivery.

Brand is "M&O Gold".

The first time I saw this official ADP video (couple days ago), from 2024, I absolutely hated it. I thought the visuals were too dark and depressing, the music too dissonant and unsettling, the overall mood bordering on disturbing, and there isn't even a pedalboard to marvel at. The theme seemed to be about being stuck in solitary confinement in dirty cramped cardboard boxes with only sardines to eat, only being able to get out briefly to play music with the other one for a little while, then screaming at the sky over the poor choice of available options, then back until the box by yourself. Not the cheerful upbeat dance-music vibe I was looking for. HOWEVER...

A few days later, it occurred to me that the video is actually pretty damn brilliant, basically like a metaphor of the human condition. We're all in figurative boxes of one sort or another, like dropped off onto (born on) planet earth and stuck here trying to deal with that. Or, maybe it's not that deep, maybe they came up with idea for the video as a response to pandemic isolation or something, who knows. Either way, I have a new appreciation for the video, and the eerie dissonant music fits it well.

Although I can see why they don't play it much at live shows, even without the visuals it could be a buzz-kill for general audiences unless that's the kind of thing they were expecting to hear.

So while I wouldn't categorize this piece as a warm-n-fuzzy feel-good tune, it still seems like truly great art. (And I don't even usually like or understand that type of thing, most art goes straight over my head, but this one got through somehow.)

Pure talent there, just awesome artistic abilities.
