Im trying to get some info on recovery centers on the north east. Ive been to a few and I know nothing is perfect but I was able to get my brother into the hospital and am looking for a good fit for him.
Hes a grown man but terrified of everything. Life, people, and his own feelings. Any program is going to be a shock for him but im hoping to find something where people felt encouraged and not forced into their recovery journey.
I thought mountain side did this well for the most part but Caron PA takes his insurance. I heard they can be harder with AA and "sobriety only has one road".
Im concerned if the AA model doesn't appeal to him, hell turn away from the chance to get help.
Right now hes in RCA for detox. I kinda want him to go to the psychiatric hospital over a rehab, but cant really find anything as cozy as these expensive rehabs.
Rehab doesn't offer much mental health support and he definitely has a mental health issue in addition to addiction. The mental health definitely is the bigger problem because it led to the addiction but I don't know where you go for this.
Pls help!
