Does Anyone Run Multiple Durthu?

I just picked up the strongroot battleforce box since I found it on a pretty steep discount, but with the new battletome I’m not super impressed with the regular Treelord. Has anyone run multiple Spirits of Durthu in a single list with any success?

I got the box cheap enough that I won’t mind having a Treelord left over as a shelf piece, but I’d feel pretty good if double Durthu works in a Monster Mash lords of the clan list. Thanks for any advice!

Hi all, I’m looking to start a Slaves to Darkness army as my first experience with AoS. Half of this is for the hobby side of things, but I’d want to make sure my list makes sense before committing to buying and painting all the models. A lot of my choices here are mainly for aesthetic preference (Ogroids are cool, Warriors are cool).

I don’t need this army to be strong or competitive per se, but I’d like to know I’m not setting myself up to lose by default. I have this idea for the first half of a 2k army, which I would round out some time after getting this half table ready.

godswrath warband 1k army (990 points)

General’s regiment:

Chaos Lord on Karkadrak (190 points)

* Radiance of Dark Glory (20 points)

* Dark Apotheosis

Chaos Sorcerer Lord (Ruinous Champion, 120 points)

* Infernal Puppet

Chaos Warriors - Reinforced (360 points)

* Banner of Rage

Ogroid Theridons (160 points)

Darkoath Fellriders (140 points)

I tried to keep it at one drop, but I can always split this in 2 regiments if that’s an advantage, in which case I would run two 10 man blocks of Chaos Warriors.

The other “half” of the army would add Be’lakor, a Gaunt Summoner, an Ogroid Myrmidon, a Mindstealer Sphiranx, and then reinforce the Theridons and give them the banner of screaming flesh instead of the Warriors’ banner of rage while adjusting the enhancements to hit 2000 exactly. But that can wait.

What do y’all think?
