Been working on this one for a while, happy to finally share it. Website-exclusive, limited run, comes in 32mm and 28mm with a few customization options. How do you like them?
Wanted something unique to run as my gaunt summoner/on disc variant.
I imagine his story being he was originally a devotee to Nurgle, but was swayed by Tzeetch for more powerful magic becoming a gaunt summoner. That or he's posing as a follower of Nurgle while being a gaunt summoner..
Either way, this was really fun to build. I'm looking forward to all the unique colors I'll get to paint, not just more black iron, bronze, and red!
Do I need to buy the latest book versions in order to start playing AoS at hobby places?
10 more Chaos Warrios done in a more classical chaos style than my first ones. Some bits used from the Chariot and Chaos Knights to make them a bit more special. Also tried some varied bases with modeling paste and bark.
Are archaon and belakor viable together in an army? Or do they suck together. Still trying to build out my list and I think having both of them could look cool but I don’t want to get smoked every time I play

I play std and have a tzeentch army but the demon prince module doesn't really fit the tzeentch theme that I like and was wondering if anybody knows any good proxy models or third party miniatures that would look cool. I also don't really play the game I just like painting so if it doesn't work in the rules its ok but I would prefer it to work in case I ever play.

Finished up my new chaos lord and super stoked on how it turned out. The horde is growing!
Got the marauders cheap via local marketplace, guess I'll have to expand my Spearheads now. Also, is that an Oathstone dangling from the belt (second image)?
So I love the Be'lakor model and wanted to play his detatchment for flavour, I want a list that is good for casual games in my lgs but still be able to win. This is my list now, any advice on how to play the list (since i'm new to s2d) or the list in general is welcome

In the comments of the recent post about what people want for future releases a couple people mentioned crossbowmen, and it conjured some visuals in my head that I had to get out of there somehow, so slapped together some very messy concept art essentially.
Sticks fairly close to a regular warrior, but a little lighter on the armour, bigger cloak with a hood, and bringing back that wicked skull helmet that the old warriors had.
Gave up on trying to draw a decent crossbow so I just slapped the one from the nighthaunts on there and drew some spikes on it. A proper one would probably be a little more ornate to match the style of warrior weapons but it gets the idea across well enough.
Stuff like chaos warriors and chosen are fairly new, so it’s hard to see them refreshing those.
On the other hand it’s hard to see a chaos launch box without chaos warriors.
Some of our monsters are real old and could be refreshed.
I think some of the rumors pointed to beasts.
My biggest hope is a priest and prayer lore!
What do you guys think?
I want to run an Archaon centric list. He is non-negotiable for this list as I am trying to build my 2nd army on a budget (im an FEC main). Id preffer to be as elite as possible. I also will be buying Spearhead magazines, so ill be getting at least two unreinfored squads of chaos warriors and knights (not sure about the chariot yet, bit too "oldhammer" for my tastes).
Any help will be great. Im not looking to win tournaments or anything, just a list i can build cheap, paint fast and play like a total meatbrain gorilla.
Took me so long and so many peaks and troughs in motivation but finally she is done!
By no means an amazing paint job but I am seriously proud of this one!
I’ve been slowly building up a list and acquiring models, but I need help rounding out last few hundred points.
Here is my current selection of models;
Chaos Warriors - 180 points
Chaos Chosen - 250 points
Exhaulted Hero/Lord - 90/100 points
Sorcerer Lord - 120 points
Varanguard - 300 points
I also picked up the Curse-Steel battery Regiment of Renown - 380 points
Currently I have 1330/2000 points,
Any advice to help round out the rest of the list would be greatly appreciated.
