I’m trying to find information about this undated 1 oz .999 silver reeded round marked “G.S.M. ONE OZ. .999 SILVER.”

One side shows Santa with his hand raised, and the other shows two snowmen with “HAPPY NEW YEAR.” The fields are very reflective and may be proof or prooflike.

Golden State Mint told me by phone that it appears to be around 40–50 years old, but they are still trying to find more information, and I am waiting to hear back from them.

In the meantime, does anyone recognize this exact design and have any information about it? If anyone has a subscription on Numista or WorthPoint can you please look it up.

I'm considering sending this 1921 Peace Dollar to PCGS and would appreciate some opinions before I spend the grading fee.

Based on these photos:

Does the coin appear to have been cleaned?

If not, what grade would you expect? Am I crazy to think it would grade MS62?

If this were your coin, would you submit it for grading?

Can you even tell from these pics?
