I had a car accident on 4/18/26. It's my fault (first accident in 30 years). I filed a claim immediately with USAA. I didn't expect to hear anything that day since it was a Saturday but I didn't hear anything until Wednesday and I only spoke with them because I called USAA. They took some additional information and I provided some pictures. I then again heard nothing for days so I call the adjuster on Monday (yesterday) and he said that the appraiser should have already reached out and scheduled something and that if I don't hear anything by mid-morning today to call back. I heard nothing and called back late morning and left a message and the adjuster called back and said he would call the appraiser. It is the end of day and I still have not heard anything from the appraiser.
I feel like I'm losing all of this time of having things move forward. In the Wednesday call, they reserved a rental car for me so that isn't the problem. I just want to get this resolved and move on with my life.
Anyone have this experience? Any advice?
