Lifetime - already want to cancel?

I don’t want to go through the laundry list of disappointments. The facilities are clean and beautiful, but the customer service has been really bad, like borderline rude. Every time I speak to someone at the desk, or certain trainers, I feel like I’m being an inconvenience to them. Example: I told a GTX trainer that it was my first time taking the class and my first day at the gym and she just said “you’ll do great” and proceeded to not explain a thing. I ended up just walking away halfway through the class, because I didn’t even know you had to set the treadmill to the GTX screen.

I also want to mention that I have worked in customer service and am also a relatively shy person, so I try my best to be extremely polite on the rare occasion I speak to anyone. So I really don’t think the rudeness or dismissive tone is a reflection on me.

With the exception of 1:1 Pilates, the complimentary and discounted new member services have been really disappointing. I’m considering asking for a refund on the discounted “spa” service I received because it was that bad.

I know that no place is perfect, but am I the only one with this experience? My Lifetime doesn’t have a pool, pickleball courts, kids activities, etc. It’s just a gym. So for $340/month and the lack of amenities, I would think customer service would be at a higher level.

Am I being unreasonable?
