Miguel o’hara isn’t in the wrong…or the right.
I’ve liked Miguel o’hara since 2010. He is my all time favourite character in all of media I’ve consumed but favouritism aside I believe people watched into the spiderverse with their eyes closed.
Miguel is flawed. That’s clear as day. But him and miles are two sides of the same coin and when people pick sides I believe you don’t understand either character.
Miguel has tried to do exactly what miles is attempting to do, and it ended up terribly. Why would he sit down and let a 15 year old do the same thing?
I do not like Miguel’s physical hurt towards miles, but he did approach him in a calm sort of way at the beginning, he was explaining how everything worked, and even when miles said no Miguel trapped him but he didn’t hit him. He just walked away.
And when you see an entire universe on the verge of collapse because of a 15 year old kid..you’re supposed to be sunshine and rainbows???
I’m not saying miles is in the wrong, no way, I’d flip if I was told one of my parents has to be even remotely hurt, but does he not fathom the cost of everything else?
I mean miles couldn’t get out of the trap Miguel put him in if hobie didn’t instruct him…like I do love miles but if he can’t get out of a basic obstacle I’m sorry I do not see him getting out of a bigger obstacle.
Miguel and miles both weren’t meant to be spiderman, they are both in a way anomalies. But it feels Miguel has learned the consequences of letting his emotions win and how much that cost him. Why would he sit down and let miles make the exact same mistake? Yes he can save them, but there is a chance he also can’t. That’s just not a good gamble on the lives of everybody. Miguel is experienced and barely just got shit together..genuinely why would he let a 15 year old break it all down again?
Miguel isn’t a good guy. Miles isn’t wrong for wanting his father to live. But like come on.
