2008 Toyota Avalon, Limited - 210K miles
I have been noticing bad shifting with a lot of transmission slipping when the car is colder and after about 10ish minutes of driving around the shifting becomes normal. Also, when the car is colder, I get a jerk when im turning right while giving gas, which I assume is related to this issue.
Yesterday, when I turned the car on and put it in drive, the car got no power and wasn't moving but the rpms kept increasing. I also keep getting the engine light codes for Transmission Solenoid D issue which usually go away on it's own.
I got a tranny drain and fill some months ago.
I'm pretty lost cause most tranny shops are always looking to mislead and push towards selling me a complete rebuild or a replacement when I know that isn't the case cause it shifts perfectly fine when it's warmer.
Can someone please guide me cause I'm tired cause my Avalon is slowly (or is already) becoming a money pit. TIA
